Type of Light Bulbs for Off-Road Lighting
No matter which type of off-road light you’re installing, you need to ensure that it is the right type of bulb for the application. Here are some of the bulbs to consider.
· Halogen off-road Light – Halogen off-road lights are the oldest type of light bulbs available. Because they were the only option for many years, many people still use them, but this is the least efficient option. These lights place quite a bit of stress on your vehicle’s electrical system and should be used sparingly, such as for one or two floodlights.
· LED off-road Light – LED bulbs to have a low amp draw and long projected lifespan, and these two features have made this an incredibly popular off-road light. These lights use two lead semiconductors as their light source. These lights use 75 percent less energy than equivalent halogen lights and can last five times as long because they are shock and waterproof. They are also quite bright, giving a crisp illumination in even the darkest of situations.
· HID off-road Light – HID lights, or high-intensity discharge, are also known as Xenon lights. They use inert gas housed within a tube that creates an arc, forming light. These lights require a ballast, which is built into the light housing on most models. They work well for any type of off-road light and are over twice as powerful as halogen lights.
Common Types of Off-Road Lights and Where to Install

Spot Lights
When you need a bright beam of light to illuminate a small area, you need a spotlight. Spotlights have a focused light beam that travels far ahead of the vehicle. Led Light Bar
